Influenza (Flu) Vaccinations

Influenza (Flu) can be anywhere

Influenza viruses can be anywhere and you don’t know when you will come in contact with them. Flu can be a serious illness that is sometimes fatal. People sometimes end up in hospital particularly for the elderlies or people with ongoing medical condition. Flu can also make an existing medical condition, such as asthma or diabetes, a lot worse.

Even if you do not end up in hospital, flu can keep you in bed for a week or more, preventing you from going to work, playing sport or just about anything else that requires leaving the house.

Immunising against the influenza virus has become easier. Come and see us at City Health Pharmacy during the flu season and get immunised with the influenza vaccine. No appointments necessary during normal working hours. Give us a call and ensure that an accredited pharmacist vaccinator is available if you wish to come in after 5pm or on weekends.
